Karami International Fair Complex
The
complex is the
brainchild
of the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Nemeyer, the designer /
builder of Brazilia the capital of Brazil, and the pride of the
Brazilian nation. Although the design of the complex was complex
was completed in the late fifties, yet the genius of this avant-guard
architect is clearly demonstrated by the futuristic shapes of
the facilities that were built. The domed structure, the
delicate
arch which distinguish the fair grounds by its height and
elegance, the open air theater which looks like it is floating
on water, in addition to the Lebanese touch as represented with
emphatic delicateness by the light arches in the Lebanese pavilion, leaves the spectator with the distinct impression of a
21 century of a 21 century city in action.
